Gabe surprised me with reservations at a fancy restaurant our last night in Indonesia, and the whole meal was magical. I delighted in the food, of course, but for me, part of the experience is always the decor. Ceiling-mounted lights of woven rattan and colored glass illuminated the room in the warmest, coziest way.
I brought it home with me in the form of our Palembang Flush Mount, which was painstakingly woven by artisans who use traditional rattan techniques to create this round fixture. The diffuser is golden art glass, which glows richly whether the light is on or off. Imagine it in a smaller bedroom or breakfast nook. Also available in a chandelier.
